You light up my life
Last summer Bill Hadfield of The Lamp Store in SLC was kind enough to donate 7 cases of very old light fixtures. The fixtures themselves are (were) round, heavy clear glass with a thin coat of white glass on the inside.
Before I can use these, they have to be processed. The first step is breaking them into pieces that are small enough to fit into Chewy, the glass grinder.
Here I am at the start of one of the few lovely January mornings in Salt Lake City, hammer in hand. To the left are the cases of lights.
Fast forward a couple of hours and I've reduced 7 boxes of fixtures (12 per box) to a total of 3 buckets of chunks.
